We've driven from Utah to Phoenix many times to visit my sister. If you take the mountain route, you eventually reach the 'Saguaro zone.' Those cacti are so iconic they make me feel like I’m in a Looney Tunes short! I’ve heard the Arizona desert is gorgeous in the spring, and it’s certainly more vibrant than the barren flats you see heading south through Utah. I’m still waiting to spot my first coyote, though!
